Pear Gruyere Pie

I made a Pear Gruyere Pie for Thanksgiving this year and it was very yummy.  I can't remember making a pie before, but I had the pie pan and the rolling pin so I was half way there with the equipment.  Actually, I don't really care for pie, I like cookies or cake.  But my trusty assistant requested a pie and candied yams for dinner this year and I couldn't say no to a new baking opportunity. 

The pie overall was very easy to make... except for rolling out the dough.  As you can see, it came out a little crooked.
